Welcome to ShrinkWatch (the "Site"). By accessing or using shrinkwatch.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Service
ShrinkWatch is a free, community-powered database that tracks reports of product shrinkflation. Content on the Site is submitted by members of the public. No account or registration is required to browse the database or to submit a report.
2. User-Submitted Content & No Warranty of Accuracy
Product reports and other content on the Site are public and community-reported. They reflect the observations of individual contributors and are not verified by ShrinkWatch. We make no warranty or representation as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any submission. Information may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect, and product sizes, prices, and availability vary by region and over time.
You should independently verify any information before relying on it. Any reliance you place on content submitted to the Site is strictly at your own risk.
3. License to Submitted Content
By submitting a report, photo, or other content to the Site, you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant ShrinkWatch a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt that content in connection with operating and promoting the Site. You retain any ownership rights you hold in your content.
4. Prohibited Content & Conduct
You agree not to submit content or use the Site in any way that:
- is false, misleading, defamatory, or intended to harm a person or business;
- infringes any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other right of a third party;
- is spam, advertising, or otherwise commercial or automated in nature;
- is obscene, harassing, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable;
- contains personal or sensitive information about yourself or others;
- attempts to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site.
5. Moderation & Removal
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to review, edit, refuse, or remove any content at any time and for any reason, including content that violates these Terms or that we believe is inaccurate or inappropriate. 6. Intellectual Property
The ShrinkWatch name, logo, design, and original content (excluding user-submitted content) are the property of ShrinkWatch and its operators and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Brand names, product names, and trademarks referenced in reports belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary purposes only. ShrinkWatch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the brands mentioned on the Site.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHRINKWATCH AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ANY CONTENT ON IT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
